1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include browser storage (localStorage) and pixels. They help websites work, remember preferences and measure how visitors use a site.
2. Cookies and storage we use
Strictly necessary
- Cookie notice preference — a localStorage flag (
rma_cookie_notice_v1) that remembers you dismissed the cookie notice. Persists until you clear site data. - First-touch attribution — a first-party cookie (
p1_ft, 30 days) recording the first page you visited, the referring site and any campaign parameters, so the practice knows how patients find it. It contains no personal identifiers. - Shopping cart — the items in your online cart are stored in your browser’s localStorage until you clear it or complete checkout.
- Security — form submissions include short-lived anti-spam tokens; no tracking cookie is set for this.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
If analytics are enabled on the Site, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies prefixed _ga to measure page views and traffic sources. IP addresses are anonymized. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Third-party services
Embedded services set their own cookies under their own policies when you use them: Google Maps (the map on our office and contact pages), our booking provider when you complete a booking, RepeatMD (memberships and rewards), Zenoti (gift cards and packages), financing partners and payment processors at checkout, and social platforms when you follow a link to them.
3. How to control cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies through their settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each publish instructions). Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent the cart or forms from working correctly.
4. Our cookie notice
A brief notice appears on your first visit. Dismissing it stores the preference described above; clearing your browser’s site data shows the notice again.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Site’s tools change; the effective date reflects the latest version.
