What is RF Microneedling?
Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling is a skin rejuvenation and skin tightening procedure that stimulates collagen production in the skin and triggers the body’s natural healing response for improved skin tone and texture and firmer skin. During treatment, a microneedling pen that contains tiny needles is used to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, along with radiofrequency energy to enhance the effects.

RF Microneedling Treatment
Prior to your RF microneedling treatment, a consultation appointment is required to determine if this option is right for you. During this appointment, Dr. Bilbruck will discuss your medical history and anti-aging goals to create a personalized treatment plan for you.
To begin treatment, your skin will be cleansed, and a topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure you don’t feel any discomfort during treatment. The microneedling device will then be moved across the skin to make micro-wounds, while the tip of the needles releases radiofrequency waves into the wounds. To finish, a soothing solution will be applied to the skin to minimize any discomfort. This procedure takes about 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
RF Microneedling Results
Following RF microneedling, we will provide you with specific aftercare instructions to ensure you receive the best results. There is very minimal downtime. If you are experiencing any initial swelling or redness, ice packs can be applied to the skin. Be sure to wear an SPF of at least 30 for several weeks following treatment, as your skin will be sensitive to the sun during this time. After 24 hours, you can return to your normal makeup and skincare routine.
Most patients can see results after 3 to 6 months. Most patients will need at least four treatment sessions, each spaced 3 to 8 weeks apart. Results can last for about one year.
