CoolPeel Treatment
Before your initial CoolPeel treatment, a consultation appointment is needed to discuss your medical history and your personal anti-aging goals. You will also need to minimize sun exposure and stop using certain medications, such as retinol and salicylic acids. If you are a good candidate for this treatment, Dr. Bilbruck will provide you with all required instructions prior to treatment.
To begin the CoolPeel treatment your skin will be cleansed and a topical anesthetic cream will be applied to ensure you are comfortable during treatment. The Tetra CO2 Laser will be applied to the treatment area and deliver very short pulses of light. Treatment is quick, taking about 10-15 minutes to complete.
CoolPeel Results
Following your treatment, you may experience a feeling similar to a sunburn for 12 to 24 hours. Our team will provide you with specific aftercare instructions to ensure you receive the best possible results.
You will be able to notice a drastic improvement in your skin within ten days of your CoolPeel treatment as your skin heals, with further improvement over the next 3 to 6 months. Individuals who undergo more aggressive CoolPeel treatments will need fewer treatments than those who undergo less aggressive treatments. Sessions are usually spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to allow the skin to peel.
