What are Neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators are wrinkle-relaxing injections of botulinum toxin that are used to smooth the skin and prevent the formation of dynamic wrinkles. Administered as a prescription medicine, botulinum toxin injections have been in use for many decades to treat medical issues. More recently, they have become popular as a cosmetic treatment.
What Can Neuromodulators Treat?
When a minute amount of botulinum toxin is injected into the underlying muscle, the muscle relaxes and gradually smooths the look of the overlying skin, reducing the appearance of severe frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. However, botulinum toxin products can also be used to produce other effects such as flipping the lips, lifting the brows, and slimming the jaw. Xeomin
Xeomin® is a neuromodulator injectable treatment, similar to Botox®. It works by blocking the release of chemicals that cause muscles to contract, leading to lines. This results in smoother skin and a more youthful look. It can treat many of the same concerns as Botox, including frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet.
