Prior to your Botox treatment, an initial consultation is needed with Dr. Bilbruck for a proper evaluation. She will create a personalized treatment plan for you to address your aesthetic goals, as well as review any medical conditions, previous allergic reactions, and desired results.

Just before treatment, you will be offered a topical numbing cream to ensure that you are comfortable during treatment. However, many people do not require this, as a very fine needle is used during treatment. Botox will then be strategically injected into the appropriate areas to achieve desired results. Botox injection treatment is quick, taking about 10-20 minutes to complete. You can return to normal activities right away with some limitations – for example, avoid strenuous activity for the first 24 hours and avoid rubbing or massaging the injected muscles.

Following Botox injections, you may experience mild redness and swelling at the injection site, which will resolve quickly. For best results, we recommend avoiding consuming alcohol and spending time out in the sun for 24-46 hours after treatment. Depending on the patient and the area treated, results can usually be seen 3-7 days after treatment, with peak results after two weeks.
